Seasons Turned Upside Down
I’ve settled so easily and comfortably into my life down under that I’ve hardly thought to share anything of my days here. It’s coming to the end of Autumn now in Australia; the days are still warm and sunny but it does feel strange to think of Autumn occurring in the month of May. I am in for another season shift as I am traveling to the Northern Territory where the dry season means sunshine and higher temperatures. I’m excited to see more of Australia and to meet face-to-face one of our old blogging friends. Do you remember Liz of the Paw Paw Salad blog? I will be seeing her in Darwin next week and once again I marvel at the connections we’ve created through the blogosphere.
As I will be travelling interstate over the next few weeks, with limited internet access, normal blogging service will be temporarily halted. So that means no weekly round-up until I am back at home base.
Take care of yourselves while I am gone.
With Love
Marie x
Enjoy!

Hi to you too, Renn – the feeling is mutual!! So sorry to have been a bad blogger – even let my domain name expire, which caused some hassles. I did try to leave you a comment a while back but had trouble getting it uploaded on your site! Will pop over again. Hope you are well!!

I know what you mean about the topsy turvey seasons and all of our deeply rooted familiarity with winter and summer timings in the northern hemisphere.
Enjoy your trip to Darwin – look out over the sea to Timor Leste and wave to Kirsty, and please give Paw Paw Salad Liz a huge hug from me, how wonderful that you will meet. I am SO envious!
Have a wonderful adventure and see you when you are back

I visited Darwin in 2010 and the August weather was beautiful after the winter chill in Sydney… My husband and I try to have short breaks in Australia to see all the many and varied areas.. The Kimberley is still on the list…

It was beyond lovely to meet you, Marie! The whole ‘cyber-to-IRL’ thing really does make my head spin – such an amazing world we live in!!! I particularly loved introducing you to my ‘real life breasties’. What a wonderful bunch of women you all are. Just wish we could have had more time to gasbag!! Happy travels, and I dearly hope we meet again. At the very least you can expect a scruffy backpacker (or two) to materialise on your doorstep in a couple of years, ready for a Guiness and a game of Geoguesser! xxxx
