Remembering Maya Angelou
I woke up this side of the world to the news that beloved poet and writer Maya Angelou has died. I know that many of you in the blogosphere admired. as I did, her eloquent commentary on race, gender and living life to its fullest. This is one of my favorite quotes – a fitting tribute to remember her on this day.
I love that quote, too!

I am so sad to hear she has died. I love her poetry. Did you know that she was an actress before a famous poet? She was in a movie in which she sang beautifully called “Calypso Heat Wave.” In a recent interview with Oprah she laughed at Oprah showing her amazing performance in the show. Surely she was a woman of many talents. xoxo – Susan

Love her quotes. My favorite one is: “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside.” I love that. Just love it. Such a loss, but the world is a better place because she was in it. That’s a sure thing.
