Mindful Monday
the anchor meditation
Instead of being blown around by the strong winds of your
mind, why not drop anchor in the infinite ocean of stillness?
It only takes a moment: Simply bring all of your attention
to your breath. And as you breathe, feel yourself settling–
down, down, down–until you come to rest.
You can do this for just a moment, whenever you feel the
need … because stillness is always here, and the anchor
is always within you.
Marie,
We’re on the same wave length. This week on my blog I ask where do you “go” when you meditate, and I include a piece I wrote about where I go in my mind.
XOXOXO,
Brenda

This does fit in perfectly with Brenda’s post this week. Meditation and centering must be particularly important right now. I know they are to me. I just took in a mindful breath–and let it out slowly. What a difference it makes! xx

These simple methods are the best for finding that moment of pause. Thank you for sharing, as well as the reminder to breath and go deep-deep-deep.

It’s the middle of the night and I am not sleeping, plagued with some anxiety. I’ve been away from home for three and a half weeks now and really missing my usual support networks. As soon as I post this, I am going to stop and think about an anchor for just a minute or two and see if I can settle myself.
