LifeStory. Everyone has a book in them!

lifestory

This new book called LifeStory has been created to enable you to begin the process of compiling and writing your own life story…so far.

LifeStory has an inspiring introduction by international best selling author Maeve Binchy in which she writes:

“You are a hero. And I am a hero. Why? Because we have in our hands a book in which we are going to star. Could anything be more marvellous?”

LifeStory was edited by columnist John Waters and has the support of some of Ireland’s leading personalities.

But LifeStory is not intended for the famous – it is for EVERYONE!

LifeStory is a book that will be a timeless and treasured gift. Ultimately, it is about sharing the priceless gift of memories with the ones you love. It is truly a book of endless possibilities.

“From the first mark on the blank page, this book will take you on a unique journey and tell a story like no other: your story.” (John Waters)

LifeStory offers you the guidance and inspiration that you need to delve into your memory anddiscover the histories of your loves ones. It can be approached as a solo project or as a collaboration between family members. LifeStory can be used as a gift at Chrismas and other times of the year such as Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christenings, Birthdays, Weddings and Retirement gifts.

The funds raised from the sale of LifeStory will support the Irish Hospice Foundation’s pioneering Hospice Friendly Hospitals Programme. More than half of all people who die in Ireland each year die in hospitals and other institutions. The aim of the Hospice Friendly Hospitals Programme is to help put hospice principles into hospital practice.

LifeStory is divided into manageable sections to help you to capture key moments in your life from your Loves, Pastimes and Sports to Turning Points, Dreams and Secrets. Each section has its own introductory passage taken from the memoir of a celebrated Irish author or personality. Each passage was selected to match the theme of the section and to inspire you and people of all ages on your journey of self discovery.

Another special feature seen throughout LifeStory are the first lines taken from the works of international figures such as Bill Clinton, the Dalai Lama and Anne Frank. These lines show you how others began their life stories. Each section also has a short list of gentle prompts to help you to get started.

Many Irish personalities have written inspiring passages from their own memoirs, diaries and journals to illustrate the different sections of LifeStory. The aim of the sections themselves is to support you on your journey of self-discovery.
