Thanksgiving Thoughts

While we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving traditionally here, I have always loved the idea of this holiday season and in its spirit I want to say a very special thanks to YOU, my loyal readers and subscribers. Without you this blog would be a lonely and empty space. Your readership and especially your comments add depth and meaning to my writing, and I am so very grateful that you continue to support me on my journey.

Today is also the second anniversary of my beloved mother’s death. There still remains a hollow canyon in my heart where grief resides, but bit by bit the space is healing. It is a slow process and I know my heart will never fully mend, but perhaps we need our hearts to be broken open at times to learn life’s lessons. There is a lovely French proverb which says that gratitude is the heart’s memory, and I offer you those words along with my own gratitude and love today.
