Mindful Monday
Though we live much of our lives outside, in action and engagement with the world, the deeper impact of what happens is registered in the narrative of the heart. Because the heart dwells in unattended dark, we often forget its sublime sensitivity to everything that is happening to us. Without our ever noticing, the heart absorbs the joy of things and also their pain and care. Within us, therefore, a burdening can accrue. For this reason it is wise now and again to tune in to your heart and listen for what it carries.
John O’Donohue
What a wise quote. We can all learn from the narration of our hearts. The trick is to mute the noisiness of our lives so we can hear what our hearts are truly saying. xo

dear marie,
today was a very low one on the “feeling low” scale. so this quote couldn’t have come at a better time. I love mr. o’donohue’s words, …”a burdening can accrue.”, the external pressures and demands can be so noisy! but you helped me connect with what and who is in my heart, and I feel much more quietly calm and peaceful.,
much love and gratitude, XOXOXOXO

It’s kind of similar to being in the moment, only you are reaching deeper inside than you sometimes do when you’re in the moment.
