“Even in the mud and scum of things, something always, always sings.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Today’s quote reminds me of our recent celebrating the ordinary exercise. I think it serves as a timely reminder to keep up the practise of looking for the extra-ordinary in the everyday. What has moved you today? Would you like to share an image on your blog? Or simply leave a comment below. I am off to notice what sings to me today…
I love Emerson and this quote is terrific – thanks for sharing x

The quote’s just what I needed today. My ordinary for today is looking out the window of my new home, and rather than having a garage door and concrete driveway staring back at me from a house across the street, I see a beautiful side yard with willows, oaks, and blossoming crepe myrtles. xox

I love the quote and appreciate the photo! Thank you! I think what sang for me today was an incredible chocolate treat (dark chocolate covered mousse confection) I had at a french restaurant..no pictures but delight for sure…yum!

Hi Marie,
Jan just left a comment on my blog: “I’m sorry for all your crises. You’ve had way more than your share. May God restore what the locusts have eaten.” Her words startled me, but in thinking about them, I’m moved and grateful she left them; that we’ve all survived and found one another here on the Internet. What a wonderfully supportive group of women!
XOXOXO,
Brenda

“Even in the mud and scum of things…something always always sings”…that’s a bit of a stretch for me, but okay. I guess it means we might have to look extra hard sometimes. Thanks for sharing the visual and the quote!
