The One Million Milestone
Do you remember when you first started blogging? Maybe, like me, you wondered if anyone would ever read your blog. I can still remember the excitement when I got my first few blog visitors and also how many times I checked my blog stats. It’s been quite some time since I checked the stats, but today I happened to glance at the widget and was taken aback to see it has hit the one million mark. And that’s down to you. Right from the start – and many of you have been with me from the very beginning – you have been the most incredible, loyal, supportive and wonderful audience. Your contribution to this blog has helped build a community and I treasure the friendship and support that has grown alongside the blog over the past six years.

Congrats! I started playing with blogs in the early days but didn’t do anything serious until we started http://Goingeast.ca (our 16-month tour around the world without airplanes). That launched me into blogging. Then I blogged through my early PhD stuff … and then when I was diagnosed I could not help but blog. I remember those first couple of days before I started the blog .. the thoughts I had going through my mind at the time … how I had some crazy humours at times ideas that I just needed to write about … “Window shopping for boobs” was a pretty funny moment …
