Rise Of The Patient: A Survivor’s Perspective
I was thrilled to be asked to contribute to the Rise Of The Patient radio show on what cancer survivorship means to me. Previous guests have included well-known patient advocates Colleen Young, Andrew Spong, Dave de Bronkart and Kathy Kastner.
I spoke with host Shirley William about the experience of being diagnosed with cancer as a young woman, the issues facing young women with a diagnosis of breast cancer, particularly the issue of fertility, the limbo cancer survivors face after treatment ends and the need for more cancer survivorship plans.
