This is powerful, Marie. And very relevant to us right now as we have been grounded since Thanksgiving. When we can’t see new landscapes, we must see with different eyes. Thank you.
I couldn’t relate more to this powerful quote; the need for new eyes, for envisioning a future full of hope and fulfillment, for putting things into perspective, and for the ability to emerge from storms and bewildering cloudiness with eyes that help turn focusing inward during profound grieving into more outward looking visions when there are respites from the storms and dark skies. thank you marie; this quote brought needed clarity to what was swirling in my crowded and overwhelmed brain, for what I couldn’t put into a cogent, much needed affirmation.
". . .and the world cannot be discovered by a journey of miles, no matter how long, but only by a spiritual journey, a journey of one inch, very arduous and humbling and JOYFUL, by which we arrive at the ground at our own feet, and learn to be at home."
Wendell Berry
