“Zig” Ziglar, who died last week, was an American author, salesman, and motivational speaker. Of the many inspirational things he wrote, the following is my favorite:
The greatest good we can do for others is not just to share our riches with them, but to reveal theirs.

Zig has always been a hero of mine and had severable memorable quotes I loved, including the one you mention. His son Tom is certainly keeping up the legacy most valiantly, but those are big shoes to fill. xx

dear marie,
i am not familiar with mr. ziglar, but simply reading this wonderful quote makes me want to become acquainted with his life and his writing. it is an awesome thing to ponder – having the power and privilege of helping another person explore and discover their own unique gifts, and then the satisfaction and joy they feel sharing them. we all have that power and it shines through with all the wondeful bloggers who care so deeply for their readers and their stories with such generosity and compassion.
i offer mr. ziglar’s son, tom and his family my sincere sympathy for their loss.

Sad to read this I hadn’t heard of Zig’s passing.
I listen to him reading his books on audio books when I’m walking, it’ll be more touching now! Thanks for sharing his quote Marie.
