Health Activist Writer’s Month Challenge Day One

April 1st and day one of the WEGO Health Activist Writer’s Month which I have signed up for – a month dedicated to the art of writing about health.

I’ve been looking forward to this for the past few weeks and I’ve been smugly thinking this won’t be much of a challenge as I write every day … but yet here I am on day one..and I haven’t done my homework assignment!

Luckily for me the rules are flexible:

  • Write something every day of April. Note: You don’t have to use our Prompts (remember that those are fun suggestions) but you should try to post something every day.
  • You have 2 “Get Out Of Post Free” days if you need – so use them wisely.
  • Share your posts with us and with fellow posters.
  • Have fun and be creative!
So, after  a day spent writing an article on healthcare social media for an online publication, my brain is too exhausted to come up with anything creative for today’s prompt – which is a shame, because it’s a very interesting one:
Pretend you’re making a time capsule of you and your health focus that won’t be opened until 2112. What’s in it? What would people think of it when they found it?
What will the world will be like 100 years from now? Will this cancer scourge be a thing of the past? I can only imagine that in 2112 people will look back and shake their heads in disbelief at the numbers of people who died from cancer and the horrors of treatment.

Ok, so day 1 of the challenge is complete and while I didn’t write the post I wish I’d been able to write, I did write something (as per the rules) and I am off now to read what others more organized than I am today, made of this challenge.

How about you? What would you put in your health focused time capsule? I really would love to hear your thoughts!
Would you like to join me in the Health Activist Writer’s Month Challenge (HAWMC)?
It’s not too late to join in the challenge!
