About the author
After twenty years as a business consultant Mari McCarthy switched gears. The catalyst was a health issue for which the remedy became her new life path. Mari now assists others with personal development and health issues through therapeutic journaling.
Mari says that journaling has become her “tool for life”. She keeps a journal in her office for assistance in business, one in the family area for use with introspection, and one by the bed for dream work.
Through journaling Mari has discovered many things about herself, like her desire and talent for singing! Watch Mari’s video for “To Make You Feel My Love” on YouTube. http://youtu.be/tTFJHYF5RGE

Will be watching out for this tomorrow. I used to keep a diary when I was a child, but I haven’t done so in many years now and would love to start the habit again.

I believe that writing is a wonderful therapy, getting your thoughts down on paper has power, power to heal, to makes sense of any experience you are going through. Looking forward to reading more tomorrow and entering the giveaway.

I kept a diary all through my cancer treatment and it was such a great help to me to see the journey I was on. It is amazing how much you forget but now when I read back on what I experienced, I feel very proud of myself for all I came through

Can’t wait to read her guest post! You know how important journaling and blogging have been for me in my recovery. My daughter and I have also done some journaling back and forth as an alternative way to communicate, it can be very helpful for tough teenage subjects and gives us another way to connect. Thanks for bringing such great information to your readers!

Love this Marie. Thanks for the preview and I can’t wait to read her blog post on your site tomorrow as well as check out her website and the book preview. In some ways, I feel like Journalling has quite literally saved my life and is helping me figure out exactly what I am supposed to be doing with the time (hopefully years and years) I have left on this earth!
I am trying to get caught up after 4 days offline, but will definitely be back tomorrow to check it all out! Hope you had a great weekend.

I had to keep a journal for some parts of a course I did, I can see how writing things down can “air” issues. I’m not a fan of keeping a journal to read back over though, once it’s out and issues are dealt with I think can (and often is) unhealthy to go back to them.

I am looking forward to this guest post. In the past I jotted things down in notebooks, just this summer, I have become a journal seeking queen. I use them to write down my ideas, thoughts and inspirations.
Throughout my cancer journey, my husband and I took turns writing in a notebook our thoughts, fears and reality’s. Now we read our story, we are amazed at the journey.
