Weekly Round-Up
Time for this week’s round-up of the best of the blog posts which I’ve read over the past week. These are the posts that have moved me, taught me something, inspired me, and which I’ve wanted to share with you. Remember, if you have written or read a post recently which you would like me to share with readers, then please leave a comment below.
Erin Breedlove has written an inspiring and empowering post on how patients can advocate for themselves on the Kevin MD blog. Erin is a college student with cerebral palsy who blogs at Healthy, Unwealthy, and Becoming Wise.
In an informative post in Cinco Vidas, Britta has been highlighting the dangers of a diet high in high fructose corn syrup.
In what words matter most Katie is questioning the language we use to describe ourselves when we have been diagnosed with cancer and the impact it can have.
Meanwhile, Jody has been expressing her frustration with the hospital call-back this week and on a similar theme check out Hospitals are involved in social media – even if they aren’t.
“Back down to earth” sees Philippa of Feisty Blue Gecko carrying a ” mix of anxiety, fear, gratitude, anticipation and worry in (her) travel bag” as she heads for her 3-month check-up.
Debbie has written a very moving and thoughtful post this week on New Year’s Revelations – do check it out.
Thanks so much for this round-up each week. I don’t always have time to read many blogs, (although I always make time for yours!), so this is a great way to catch up on posts I may have otherwise missed.
