Friday Round-Up

Time for this week’s round-up of the best of the blog posts which I’ve read over the past week. These are the posts that have moved me, taught me something, inspired me, and which I’ve wanted to share with you. Remember, if you have written or read a post recently which you would like me to share with readers, then leave a comment below.

The passing of Elizabeth Edwards affected us deeply this week and many of you wrote posts in her memory. Check out Moms with Cancer,  Women with Cancer  the Chemo Babe blog and Livestrong for some terrific tributes.

An interesting post by Dr Shantanu Nundy on the Kevin MD blog about the low adherence rate of breast cancer survivors to Tamoxifen.

Daria at Living with Cancer has been writing this week about a topic oh so familiar to so many of us – fatigue.  And check out Bringing up Goliath for a great reflection When Comfort Gets Lost.

Layers of Love is still working hard to reach its goal for the chemotherapy patients at the Lehigh Valley Health Network and in their latest blog post, we learn how they are getting closer to that goal and how you can support this worthy initiative.

Finally, not a BC related post, but one I would really like to draw your attention to nevertheless. Camara is an Irish volunteer-based organisation that uses technology to improve education in Africa. They are offering you the chance to help send a computer to schools in Africa for just €10 this Christmas – a worthy cause and one I am delighted to highlight today.

So that’s this week’s round-up folks. Happy reading and have a great weekend!
