Weekly Round-Up

Time for this week’s round-up of the best of the blog posts which I’ve rad over the past week. These are the posts that have moved me, taught me something, inspired me, and which I’ve wanted to share with you. Don’t forget if you have written a post which you would like readers to see, just leave a comment below.

December already! With Christmas around the corner, Barbara looks forward to Christmas and making it a joyful one for others. Cathy too, anticipates the Christmas season with practical tips on how to enjoy a guilt-free holiday. On a similar theme, check out Julia‘s #WellbeingDecember idea.

Terri marks 7 years since her DIEP flap breast reconstruction surgery.

Maureen shares the ups and downs of her current treatment with her latest update.

Advice on breast cancer and physical therapy on the SBC blog.

Martha‘s latest Cure post cancer simplifies common terms used in guidelines for privacy of patients in clinical trials.

Tips from Steve on avoiding toxic house products.

Engaging post from Connie on transitions and finding herself.

Sweet post from Gogs on how his dogs helped him get through cancer treatment.

Loved this post, inspired by Abigail‘s wonderful Unseen and Unheard posts, from Carolyn on the common experiences of the lived experience of patients.

Finally this week, it’s been a tough week for our community with the loss of Ilene Kaminsky. I feel her loss keenly this morning as we had a weekly check in every Sunday morning right before I started putting together the round-up. She would let me know what she had written during the previous week and fill me in on how she was feeling. We’d exchange stories from our week about our daily doings and oh how I will miss our Sunday chats so much.  Thank you to those who have shared their memories of Ilene’s kindness with me – please keep those comments coming. I know it would have meant the world to her to know that she impacted our lives so much.

Until next week,

Yours with much love always,

Marie xxx
