Support Daffodil Day
Today, March 26th is Daffodil Day in Ireland, the annual fundraiser organised and run by the Irish Cancer Society. It is a chance for us to make a difference to the lives of those affected by cancer.
This year there will be the usual merchandise selling and coffee mornings, and following on from last year’s success, you can also go online to plant a daffodil in a virtual garden of hope.
Just visit www.PlantaDaff.ie and you get the chance to write a message to show your support for someone you care about who is affected by cancer. It’s a lovely idea, and I am off right now to plant some virtual daffodils for some special people I know.
I love the idea of a virtual garden. I don’t live in Ireland, but I can particpate online and this is great. I will be planting a flower in memory of my beloved father who passed away last year from cancer.

Yes thank you so much for posting this link – I don’t live in Ireland either, but love the idea of joining with you all there by planting a daffodil in the garden of hope.

Absolutely it’s a terrific idea. I have just sent the link to some friends in the US and they are delighted they can feel part of it too.
