Weekly Round-Up: Pinktober Begins

Time for this week’s round-up of the best of the blog posts which I’ve read over the past week. These are the posts that have moved me, taught me something, inspired me, and that I’ve wanted to share with you. Don’t forget that if you have written a post that you would like readers to see, just leave a comment below.

October is upon us and you reading this know what is coming in the weeks ahead.

Yes, Pinktober beckons in all its pinkwashed finery. As Barbara writes in her post about what breast cancer awareness month (BCAM) means to her, “I truly am sorry to see just about every single piece of it because it represents to me the wrong message and a missed opportunity to make a real and positive difference.”

Abigail writes about her love/hate relationships with BCAM.

Gabby reflects on mixed feelings after her cancer treatment ended – a familiar feeling for many of us too.

A post on the SBC blog on the efficacy of cryotherapy, or cold therapy, during breast cancer treatment.

Finally this week, it sure feels like a very quiet week in the blogosphere. Have I missed any blogs? Do let me know in the comments, please.

One more thing before I leave you. I have a small favour to ask. Could you help me out with a post I am writing for BCAM? Head on over here to complete this sentence “This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I want you to know ….” Some of you have already left comments there, which I am very appreciative of.

Until next week,

Yours with much love always
