Weekly Round-Up

Time for this week’s round-up of the best of the blog posts which I’ve read over the past week. These are the posts that have moved me, taught me something, inspired me, and which I’ve wanted to share with you. Don’t forget if you have written a post which you would like readers to see, just leave a comment below.

Can you mourn someone you’ve never met?  Can empathy translate into love for a person going through a treatment that you know has serious side effects and, often, a very poor prognosis? How on earth do you reach any semblance of closure when you just know this is a person you’re sure you’ll never hear from again?

These are just some of the questions Rod wrestles with in his beautiful tribute to virtual friendships in the cancer community.

Check out the powerful voices featured in METUP UK blogs.

Dr Attai shares the results of a survey to assess experiences with endocrine therapy (ET) conducted with the breast cancer community.

JoAnn reflects on what’s she learned and accomplished since the start of lock down.  On a similar theme, Katie reflects on her learnings from her yoga journey over the past few months.

Thoughtful post from Sheri on the power of a small choice.

Nancy Seibel shares an exercise to help create a map of where she’d like her life to go.

Super post from Cathy on cultivating resilience.

Sarah writes of why cancer is not a battle this week.

A guest post on Ticking Off Breast Cancer from Jo on taking back control of her life again.

Read Ilene‘s poem on losing words.

Chris writes of not letting fear take over our lives.

Wonderful post from Connie on learning  to wait and trust life’s unfolding process.

Barbara shares thoughts on the need for patients to take control of their own health and not leave it in the hands of doctors.

Julia takes part in Nancy Stordahl’s blog hop challenge this week.

Another informative post from the dynamic duo of Terri Coutee and Dr Minas Chrysopoulo – this week they answer questions on the benefits of delayed DIEP Flap breast reconstruction after radiation.

An informative post too from Siobhan on breast density and the risk of cancer.

Finally this week, I leave you with this quote from Abigail’s post on facing adversity.

May you face the coming week with courage,

Yours with much love always,

Marie xxx
