HEALTH ACTIVIST WRITER’S MONTH CHALLENGE DAY 1 #HAWMC
Day one of the WEGO Health Activist Writer’s Month which I have signed up for – a month dedicated to the art of writing about health. Today’s writing prompt:
Day 1 prompt: Why HAWMC? This is our third year of the Health Activist Writer’s Month Challenge – why did you get involved this year? Are you a newbie to #HAWMC or a veteran?
This is my second year joining in the challenge and in preparing for today’s prompt, I decided to look back on what I wrote last year when I completed the challenge:
I can’t remember which of my blogging friends said at the beginning of this month, that it was a little like pulling back the window on an Advent calendar. And it’s a great description. Each day I felt a ripple of excitement wondering what the writing challenge would be. Some days, I felt they were made for me..others my heart sank a little, as I felt the challenge of going outside my comfort zone – needless to say those days taught me the most about myself and were the most memorable part of this journey.
So I guess I am looking forward to learning something new this year as I complete the exercises each day.
Hello again! Weren’t we just chatting on Facebook??
So, it was me. I’m your Advent calendar friend. I wrote it on Day 6 last year 🙂 http://timetoconsiderthelilies.com/2012/04/06/day-6-health-haiku/ You left a comment that made me laugh, too.
So I have the list of prompts, and already I’m dreading the ones that will force me out of my comfort zone. But I’ll do it if you do it.
Hope your day gets better xox

I may have to miss a few days but I am glad of the challenge Beth. I am also glad to read that you are taking on a challenge of your own – posting once a week on your own blog 🙂
