Celebrating the Ordinary Day Two: A Lovely Surprise
In this day of digital communication, there is something quite extra-ordinary in receiving a handwritten card or letter in the mail.
Today I am celebrating the gift of this card which landed as a lovely surprise on my mat today, courtesy of the thoughtful Nancy Stordahl. Thank you so much Nancy for brightening up my day with your extra-ordinary kindness.
When was the last time you sent a handwritten note or card to show someone you are thinking of them?Ā I know I am guilty of doing all my communication through email, texting or social media, but Nancy’s card today reminded me how important it still is to include a personal touch in our relationships. oh i agree that we have become too used to communicating digitally but when someone goes to the trouble of choosing a sweet card like this, writing a personal note, buying a stamp and mailing it..well…that really is extra-ordinary these days!

What a sweet gesture for Nancy to send you that card. In this age of online everything, it’s rare and delightful to receive a handwritten note or card. I used to send them more often, but have slacked off in recent months. This inspires me to resume that wonderful habit and thus bless others. xox

How sweet and thoughtful of Nancy! Yesterday was anything but ordinary. In fact, on many levels, it was a very emotional day, but I took 2 pictures and posted about my day anyway.
