My blogging year in review
And so, here we are again, on the cusp of a new year, and inevitably I have been reflecting on the past year and all its challenges. Alongside all the pain and sadness of this year, one thing has remained constant – blogging.
Journeying Beyond Breast Cancer has been my sanctuary, my therapy, my strength, my comfort and my anchor. I have written here many times of my gratitude to you all for journeying with me over the past year and how much that has meant to me.
It has also been a joy to watch how your own blogs have grown and developed over the past year. The highlights for me have been the wonderful guest posts you have written for Journeying Beyond Breast Cancer and putting together the weekly round-up of your blogs each Friday. I’d love to hear some more about what have been your blogging highlights in the past year, so please do leave a comment below.

I especially love the way you don’t shy away from sharing your struggles with grief and depression with us – I believe it is so important to shine a light on the darkness that is in all our lives and you do this beautifully

Marie, I am so thankful to have crossed paths with you. Underneath it all we all have the same needs. To give love and to be loved. You have given me both. And my dear friend I still believe that Nothing is impossible with God and am holding on to that. I am so sad with all of the loss that you have experienced in 2011. Praying for 2012 to be a year that you will celebrate with that wonderful man who has stood by your side no matter what!!!! Long distant hugs all the way from North Carolina my friend!

I love every one of your blog posts, Marie. They have touched and moved me in ways I never imagined. I didn’t blog (or comment on others’ posts) in the latter half of 2011 to the extent I did in the earlier half, due to extenuating (and excruciating) personal circumstances beyond my control. I’m eager to get back into it with a fresh perspective. There’s nothing like writing to heal the mind and ease the pain. Your posts have done both for me.

I did miss your writing and commenting (though I think you still managed to do both very well, despite your circumstances) and look forward to you writing more in the New Year.
