Father’s Day
Today is Father’s Day and I would like to re-post a beautiful, moving tribute to a father from a beloved daughter. This post was originally published last December but it seems perfect on this day to post it again.
I was so moved by a recent blog post by Britta Aragon, cancer survivor and founder of Cinco Vidas, that I felt I really had to share it with you all. Not only was the post moving on a personal level, but I feel that Britta has made an important contribution to any discussion on living and dying with grace and dignity. Britta writes of the final days of her beloved father, Javier, who was diagnosed with colon cancer in 1999. She has written a loving tribute to a father and a man who clearly inspired great love not just in his friends and family, but in those who came to know him.
How do we deal with the pain and sorrow of those final days of our loved ones? Britta shares her experience in this beautiful post, which I am sure will move you as it did me.

Marie,
Thank you for sharing this post with others. I am so grateful that our experiences can be used to share with others and help them along the way if they are in the same situation. There is not doubt my father will continue to have a huge impact in my life and others as he was a man that wanted to help everyone achieve their dreams and goals. I am so grateful for having my twitter community to share, support and encourage each other to live our best lives from here on after experiences like this.
Thank you again for your kind words and beautiful blog!
Much love,
Britta
