Weekly Round-Up

Welcome to this week’s blog round-up.
As some of you may know, I write a monthly article for the Patient Empowerment Network, and this month’s article focuses on how to actively engage in your healing journey after a cancer diagnosis.
Beth’s latest Substack celebrates artist and chaplain Christine Jaksy, who creates vibrant art despite facing significant health challenges.
As the holiday season is upon us, Carolyn shares the best holiday gift ideas for heart patients.
In ‘The Spirit of Christmas from a Breast Cancer Survivor’, Barbara shares a heartwarming observation about the increased kindness and joy she’s witnessed this holiday season, suggesting a resurgence of the true Christmas spirit.
Of course, the holidays can also be a difficult time for many, bringing up feelings of grief and sadness. I know I’ve been experiencing some of those emotions myself. For those who are struggling, Nancy provides practical strategies for coping with grief in her Substack ‘When the holidays don’t feel merry & bright: 10 tips for Grievers,’
Adding to this important conversation, Connie offers a compassionate perspective in her latest blog post. She encourages genuine connection, open communication, and destigmatizing mental health support to foster a supportive environment for those in need.
I hope you find these blog posts as inspiring as I did. Which post resonated with you the most? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
Until next week,
Yours with much love always

Thank you dear Marie for including my patient wish list for Santa this season – no matter what our diagnosis is! It’s not too late to drop some HINTS! 🙂
Hope you’re enjoying the lights and sparkle and spirit this month!

Thank you Marie, I have enjoyed reading these this evening. What a talented group of writers. I found your article extremely good, congratulations on 20 years! That’s incredible! I also found the other blogs interesting and varied as usual. I particularly liked Beth’s blog about the artist -chaplain’s Angel paintings. Something about her story resonated. I remember the healthcare chaplains who visited me when I was in hospital and it is a role my husband has had too.
