Weekly Round-Up
Time for this week’s round-up of the best of the blog posts which I’ve read over the past week. These are the posts that have moved me, taught me something, inspired me, and which I’ve wanted to share with you. Don’t forget if you have written a post which you would like readers to see, just leave a comment below.
Terri writes this week of how the global pandemic has been a rare paradigm shift and now we are looking at the world through a different lens.
Philippa shares her mixed feelings about the opening up of the world, and the easing of lockdown. See also Audrey‘s latest post on shielding and JoAnn‘s on COVID time.
Siobhan‘s latest comprehensive post on breast density is well worth reading.
Becky recounts a reflective bike ride.
A new medical update from Abigail.
Dee writes this week about cancer disparities – also the theme of Stacey‘s latest post.
Watch Julia‘s video on the art of possibility.
A post from Nancy on resiliency and hope in uncertain times. See also Carolyn‘s post on uncertainty and hitting the pandemic wall.
Connie shares her feelings about being in “the gap” as she transitions a new phase in her life.
Barbara‘s latest post concerns the fear and anxiety faced by cancer patients.
A post from Sheri on what to do with the chaos of this moment in time we’re facing. See also Nancy Seibel on taking care of yourself at the chasm’s edge.
Finally this week, I’d like to leave you with a quote to see us through another week.
Until next week,
Stay safe and be kind to one another
Yours with much love always,
Marie xxx
Thank you dear Marie for including my post on hitting the pandemic wall, based on the wonderful essay by Nancy Colier. It feels surreal to me now that in barely one week, COVID-19 news seems to have faded into the background compared to anti-racist protests…
Take care, stay safe…

Marie – I feel so overwhelmed these days but thank goodness you do pull these together it forces me to write at least one post a week even if I post too late to make the roundup. I feel disappointed that I’ve not had my head or my heart in writing. I’ve been taken over by things less Important yet knowing I might make a deadline keeps me on track and keeps me reading all those writers you highlight who support and who I admire. Thank you for continuing to do the hard work – I appreciate it more than you know. I really let loose on my post this week – and a poem I’ve been birthing for almost 12 months! Let me know what you think of the poem. At times It’s so easy to put then on paper and others it takes what seems an eternity which, realizing I don’t have, has caused me to put them out there since writing left unread is just a bunch of scribble and so I know it may touch someone else and is worth the effort to get it at least onto the blog. I hope you’re well – I think I am going half nuts between the world gone insane and the social distancing.
Much love,
Ilene
