Weekly Round Up: The Let’s Talk About Depression Edition

The shock wave of grief and pain felt when the news that Robin Williams had taken his own life  reverberated throughout the blogosphere this week. Many of you took the opportunity to speak out honestly and openly about your own struggles with depression, like Tami, LaraJustine, Yvonne writing about her husband, and Tric about a valuable lesson she learned when nursing an elderly lady.

As we speak (or write) the truth we go a long way to breaking the silence which perpetuates the shame and stigma of mental illness, a point made by Kathleen Hoffman on the Medivizor blog.
