Weekly Round Up
Time for this week’s round-up of the best of the blog posts which I’ve read over the past week. These are the posts that have moved me, taught me something, inspired me, and which I’ve wanted to share with you. Just click on the highlighted links to read the posts. Don’t forget if you have written a post which you would like readers to see, just leave a comment below.
This week’s guest blogger Jan, has been writing on the science of forgiveness and why we must learn to forgive ourselves. It is a great read and has given me much food for thought this week.
In the latest blog post on After Five Years, Lauren has been writing about the insane, crazy marathon that is the cancer journey and she ends her post with a little Pooh wisdom which I adore.
Jackie is calling all doctors, nurses and patients for Grand Rounds submissions. Read all about it at Dispatch from Second Base. It is a great idea and I am looking forward to reading the submissions.
Kim has been blogging a letter of the alphabet every day the month of April and it’s been something I have really enjoyed over the past few weeks. I will be sorry to see it end! If you want to catch up with Kim’s amazing alphabet, check out her blog, Kim’s Ponderings Beyond Breast Cancer.
And finally, don’t forget to keep up to date with Terri’s adventure in South Africa at her blog A Fresh Chapter.
This is just a flavor of what has been happening in the BC blogosphere over the past week, but one debate which has raged and I have not mentioned yet, has been a robust discussion on the increasing sexualization of breast cancer awareness/fundraising organizations. It is too important to include in a brief round up so I am hoping to do a more comprehensive treatment of it in the coming days. Meanwhile you will get a good sense of what is going on if you read the comments on Peggy Orenstein’s post” Ta-Tas Talk Back” where you will find links to the many great blog posts written by Kathi, Katie and AnnaR .
I really appreciate the trouble you go to with this weekly update. It is a great way for us to catch up on great blog posts we might otherwise have missed.
