Poetry Friday
I go among trees and sit still.
All my stirring becomes quiet
around me like circles on water.
My tasks lie in their places
Where I left them, asleep like cattle
Then what I am afraid of comes.
I live for a while in its sight.
What I fear in it leaves it,
And the fear of it leaves me.
It sings, and I hear its song.
Wendell Berry

This has given me real food for thought today – i am hiding away from a problem i don’t want to face – maybe it’s time to go into those woods and face it…

Such a peaceful poem – there’s a real sense of calm to it. Thanks for introducing me to it!
And I love that it’s set in the trees – I don’t know why but there are lots of trees in my new work. Like guardians…
