Uniting our efforts on a global stage

I’ve been watching the LiveStrong video of the stories of those who travelled from all over the world to attend the LiveStrong Global Cancer Summit in Dublin this past week. Everyone I met there was so enthusiastic and excited about this historic effort to put cancer on a global stage to unite all our efforts in the fight against cancer. It was a forum to exchange ideas, exchange passions and encourage each other.
Commitment was the keyword of the Summit. The delegates who attended this week are those who have stepped up and made a commitment to fight cancer across the globe. The aim of this event is that this is the first step in truly making cancer a global priority. As one of the delegates on the video so beautifully put it, everyone in their little corner is lighting a candle but when we light the candles together, we will illuminate the world
