Weekly Round-Up

Take a moment to grab a cuppa, settle back, and catch up with the latest round-up of blogs.

This week, Beth stumbles upon a surprising discovery in her closet and is prompted to reflect on the virtues of patience.

Nancy asks her readers if they’ve ever been asked the question” Why are you still talking about cancer?”

Becky contemplates the legacy she will leave behind.

Connie reflects on the journey of embracing and trusting her intuition.

Julia shares a lovely Mary Oliver poem.

Barbara pens her thoughts on regrets following a cancer diagnosis.

Chris writes about the politics of healthcare in his latest post.

Navigating when, whom, and what to disclose about a cancer diagnosis, particularly when managing existing disabilities and familial cancer history, brings unique pressures as highlighted in the latest Musings of Spu blog.

A post on navigating Tamoxifen side effects in men with male breast cancer on HIS Breast Cancer.

In marking her 7th cancerversary, Abigail shares five things she would have done differently, but, most importantly, she says, “I don’t spend time beating myself up over not doing these things because I did the best I could with the information I had.”

And finally this week, I leave you with a phrase from Elizabeth, the featured clay artist at Rat City Studio, who when asked to describe her artistic style using only three words, replied “Freedom through imperfection.”

I love this! And serendipitously earlier this morning I read a similar quote from my favorite meditation teacher, Tara Brach:

There is something wonderfully bold and liberating about saying Yes to our entire imperfect and messy life. With even a glimmer of that possibility, joy rushes in.

Until next week,

May we learn to embrace our life in all its wonderfully messy imperfection

Yours with much love always
