Weekly Round-Up
Time for this week’s round-up of the best of the blog posts which I’ve read over the past week. These are the posts that have moved me, taught me something, inspired me, and which I’ve wanted to share with you. Don’t forget if you have written a post which you would like readers to see, just leave a comment below.
An intriguing question from Audrey to shart us off this week – “what do Goldilocks and breast cancer have in common?”
Where do you find trusted breast reconstruction resources? Answer: Terri Coutee. Check out her latest post for more information.
And if you have breast implants, Nancy‘s latest post will also be of interest.
Dr Attai provides information on the latest research concerning the efficacy of low dose Tamoxifen for risk reduction.
Sarah has started radiotherapy.
Grateful to Abigail for sharing a book on grief – one to add to my Amazon wish list.
Elizabeth‘s latest post concerns cancer risk factors and what they mean from a research perspective.
I mentioned last week, that if you want a glimpse into the reality of metastatic breast cancer, Ilene‘s blog provides powerful insights. This week she writes about the bone deep painful reality of MBC.
Metastatic cancer pain exposes you for who you really are. It’s not for the weak, the faint-hearted, the complainer or the introvert afraid to stand up for themselves.
Great post from Barbara on patients taking control of their own medical records.
Becky is dealing with back pain.
A post from Karin on the double-edged sword of professional boundaries.
Nancy Siebel offers tips to beat burnout.
Connie shares a special family gathering to celebrate her mother’s 96th birthday.
Finally this week, I haven’t suggested a writing prompt for a while, so here is one for the week ahead. Feel free to write about it on your blog, or simply leave a comment below with your thoughts.
Until next week,
Yours with much love always,
Marie xxx
Hi Marie,
Thanks for putting another Round Up together and for your writing prompt. Because I’ve been going through a trying time, I’d say I can live most fully by taking the control I can over my situation. Choosing not to be a victim. It helps to remember where I have choices when the situation is not of my choosing.
Best to you and to everyone today and in the week ahead,
Connie

Another wonderful round-up, Marie – and thank you for the writing prompt. I was about to post my latest video on my main website (for a change!) and your prompt came in very handy. xx
