I have always loved this poem. One of my children read it in school a while back and came home to tell me about it as I’d put a hint of purple in my hair!
". . .and the world cannot be discovered by a journey of miles, no matter how long, but only by a spiritual journey, a journey of one inch, very arduous and humbling and JOYFUL, by which we arrive at the ground at our own feet, and learn to be at home."
Wendell Berry
Beautifully put. Already I wear purple, as I love the hue and its inherent sense of style, royalty and grace. xxx
