Weekly Round Up

Time for this week’s round-up of the best of the blog posts which I’ve read over the past week. These are the posts that have moved me, taught me something, inspired me, and which I’ve wanted to share with you. I am starting this week’s round-up with an interesting discussion on Healthline “If you’re living with cancer, do you consider yourself a “warrior”?” Some familiar faces sharing their thoughts. I was reminded of the discussion when I later read Lulu‘s latest post:

When women like Sheryl Sandberg (in her book Lean In) write things like her grandmother beat cancer, they reinforce stereotypes that beating cancer is a matter of personal choice. They ignore the desperate need for research to cure breast cancer for those who are initially diagnosed with terminal breast cancer and the 30% who will see the cancer return and become terminal no matter what they do.
