Narrative Matters: Exploring Cancer Stories Online
I am honored to be taking part in a special lecture at Flinders University Centre for Innovation in Cancer, Adelaide, South Australia, with co-host Cancer Voices SA that will explore the mechanisms and therapeutic benefits of writing as a form of self-expression and a tool for healing after cancer.
My talk Narrative matters: exploring cancer stories online will address how telling our stories online can help us articulate and understand ourselves and the world around us and how this can impact the cancer journey. For clinicians, care providers, and researchers blog narratives provide rich insights into the lived experience of cancer and offer the possibility of improving the patient experience in more meaningful ways.
If you happen to be in the vicinity of Flinders University on July 1, I do hope you will join us for what promises to be a stimulating evening of discussion.
This is a perfect topic for you, Marie!
