You’re not alone, 21 inspirational cancer survivors share tips for life beyond breast cancer
My friend, fellow breast cancer survivor Gai Comans, has just released a new guide called “Survivor Secrets – Empower Your Life”. And, alongside some other names which will be familiar to you, I am honored to be one of the 21 inspirational survivors interviewed.
The guide, which is the first in a new series, features interviews with leading breast cancer survivors who reveal their insights and “secrets” for what they wish they had known when they were diagnosed and going through treatment.
Some of the chapters include my friends, Pasha Hogan on Believing It’s Possible, Surviving Cancer 3 Times; Terri Wingham, Learning To Feel Can Help You Heal; Debbie Woodbury, Tools To Help You Heal Your Feelings Of Not Belonging; Tami Boehmer, Empowerment Through Connection With Others; Nancy Stordahl, Share But Don’t Compare – Share Your Experience, But Don’t Compare It To Others, and my own chapter on Giving Yourself Choice – Exploring Fertility Options Before Treatment.
And that’s just for starters.
Other topics covered include coping with anxiety and stress, how to be your own best advocate, and strategies for making healthy lifestyle changes. It really is a terrific guide to coping with the physical, emotional, and social side of cancer.
I am delighted to be able to offer you a free copy by clicking on this link.
I hope you enjoy this inspirational gift. And I know it will give you the information you need to empower you through life as a cancer survivor.
Marie–thanks so much for sharing this information. I am sooooo ready for some inspiration and excited to read the book. Blessings, Kim

Karen, downloading it is pretty straightforward. It is just a matter of clicking a link which opens a PDF format of the book. Youwill need Adobe PDF Reader to view it. You can get the reader for free at Adobe.com. Hope this helps.

A great question thanks for asking it……
When I was looking for breast cancer survivors to invite to this project, I was looking for women who had assumed in some ways a leadership role within the breast cancer community. Leadership is not an appointed position but rather leaders step up and genuinely inspire others.
I was inspired by each one of the ladies I invited because they are creating change for breast cancer and cancer survivors throughout the world, by both the work they do and by the people they are. They are using their knowledge, insights, their own experience and research to help other women and men who have been impacted by a cancer experience to move forward. Without these women those experiencing a cancer diagnosis or survivorship challenges may be left to deal with it alone. No one should have to do that.
Marie’s message about fertility options will help women make this choice before they start their treatment and their options perhaps expire. Pasha surviving breast cancer 3 times in just a few short years, inspired those facing fear of recurrence. These are just a couple of examples but there are so many more.
I hope you take something away from the guide that can inspire and help you.
