Perfect advice for the Monday after the long holiday weekend, in which I’m struggling to get back into the groove of rising to the alarm clock and rousing children who’d rather still be sleeping!
Wow, what a great reminder at this busy time of year! I need to put more energy into things that excite my spirit, because that is when I feel centered, joyful, and calm. AND usually that means something creative, whether it be setting a beautiful table, gardening, or making my Christmas cards. I plan to do one creative thing a day! Who’s with me? 🙂 Lindsey
". . .and the world cannot be discovered by a journey of miles, no matter how long, but only by a spiritual journey, a journey of one inch, very arduous and humbling and JOYFUL, by which we arrive at the ground at our own feet, and learn to be at home."
Wendell Berry
