Celebrating the Ordinary: Friendship and Kindness
Apologies for badly taken self-portrait but just had to show you today’s celebratory pic.
I met up with a friend today… a new friend that I met in hospital, and she brought along a gift for me – a beautiful scarf which she hand knit herself especially for me. Isn’t she sweet?
Celebrating a new cozy scarf as the autumn air has begun to bite this week in Ireland..and celebrating new friendships and kindness.
Lovely!!

It looks like a beautiful scarf, made all the more special by the fact that it was made just for you.

What a huge gesture of kindness, Marie! I have a friend I met in my divorce support group who knit me a scarf and matching hat. All in my favorite colors. I couldn’t thank her enough. Your gorgeous scarf serves the dual purpose of a fashion statement and a warmer for nippier weather. xox

A fine example of something beautiful coming from something not so great. Glad you are better.

What a beautiful scarf. It reminded me of the kindest thing my very good American friend Alice who lives in Austria did for me when she heard I had to do chemo for breast cancer. She started knitting me a scarf and just kept knitting so much that it turned out to be a blanket. It looks like the same colors of your gift. It’s really special when a great friend gives such an awesome gift that they made by hand with love. Enjoy it!
