Celebrating the Ordinary: Day Three
The whole world is a series of miracles but we are so used to seeing them that we call them ordinary things ~ Hans Christian Anderson
Images of trees featured in Time to Consider the Lilies, Nancy’s Point, The Big C and Me, The Pink Underbelly and Martine’s and Jan’s blogs, and Philippa was sweeping leaves in hers and Liz sipping tea beside some trees…so here is my tree contribution today.
I photograph the trees on my walk all the time, and have lots of images of them during the different seasons. I am most fascinated with the interplay of light through the trees and the shadows these trees cast. I find trees endlessly fascinating and I was so delighted to see how many of you feel the same.
Beautiful. Where is that, Marie?

Love, love, love the tree you chose, Marie. And I love the fact that the tree is so close to home for you. There’s something about those stalwart trees that makes us admire them. That quote by Hans Christian Anderson is so apropos to our writing challenge. Write on! I’ll be joining you in posting Day 3 in the morning, California time. xox

I know Jan..it’s incredible the way these quotes keep popping onto my timeline someplace – great reminders to keep us on track this week. Looking forward to seeing your contribution later today.

Ooh that is a great quote, Marie. It is going to be 108 degrees in phoenix today … what I wouldn’t give to sit under your lovely tree on a cool Irish afternoon. It is a beauty.

Trees ground us in so many ways, I think, reminding us that there’s something and someone more powerful and with a greater plan that we could ever envision.

All I’m gonna say is this…. You have a lot of sync’ing going on here….. Nancy and Brenda have food things, Jan and Katie are on the move and Lori and I are in a bee theme. And, I haven’t made my way to the others, yet! There’s a story in this somewhere!
