Challenging ourselves to keep on writing
Many of you will know of, and some of you will have joined me in taking part in the WEGO Health Activist Writer’s Month, a month dedicated to the art of writing about health.
I absolutely loved the challenge and the places it took me on my writing journey. It was also wonderful to read and see where others went on their own journeys.
I was surprised and delighted to be chosen as the most inspiring writer of the challenge – an honor indeed, as to me each one of the participants was incredibly inspiring.
Many of you had said that you would have liked to have joined in with the challenge, but a month of writing daily was too much of a commitment. I can understand that – so it has been fun to join in since then with random challenges set by bloggers such as Jenn and Renn (nice rhyming there). And it got me wondering… how many of you would be interested in continuing with these occasional writing prompts?
Let me know what you think and if you would be interested in hosting a writing challenge on your blog?
Totally interested.. Where can I learn more about this initiative? Thank you for the tweet.. Follow me at: cancer_why_me on Twitter.
Cheers
Nathalie

Marie, congratulations and so well deserved. I love your posts that month both the challenge and your posts inspired me and also got me thinking about similar in my own life. I looked forward each day to what you’d come up with. I’d be interested in a week long just a month is too long for me and I doubt I’d stay committed. Unless the challenge is focussed on food I doubt there’d be much point in putting my name forward to host one. But looking forward to seeing how this progresses

Thanks for your kind words of support Marian. I was thinking this would be an occasional challenge – nothing like a week long – more a one off – then the pressure is off us all 😉 A food/healthy eating one would be great – maybe sharing your favourite recipe and we could all share ours then on our own blogs? Just a thought…

Marie,
WOW! You totally deserve the title of Most Inspiring WEGO Challenger blogger. I’m so very proud of you! I was one of those bloggers who just couldn’t write daily, but I love the idea of a prompt that we all can work with. Thank you for your awesome leadership and setting a great example.

And a very hearty mazel tov to YOU, Marie! What a well-deserved honor–you are, indeed, most inspiring.
A month at a time IS a lot–you’re hardy–but a prompt as it goes along seems good for everyone. Allthe best, Candida

I was not at ALL surprised that you were chosen most inspiring blogger! I enjoyed following along with you. I would be open to hosting a challenge, in fact I have thought of something I would like to do. My husband and I accidentally blundered into a college writing class for people who plan to teach. They invited us to stay:) we had an assignment to write an “autobiopoem.” it was fun and I used it with my mental health clients. If I can find it, I will share it!!

A little writing challenge once in a while sounds just about right – I really enjoyed the photo challenge, and maybe some writing prompts would help with the writing flow. Yes, please. Prompt away!

How funny – have been away from the blogosphere for a week or so and just posted again, having set myself my own (extremely daggy) little writing challenge. If anyone is up for an iambic pentameter party, just pop on over!!!
