Passing of Pat Hargadon
It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of Pat Hargadon, Avon breast cancer nurse counsellor at ARC Cancer Support House in Eccles St., Dublin. From the first time I met Pat at a Europa Donna Ireland conference, I was struck by her warmth and friendliness. Speaking recently to Fiona Moriarity, the Avon breast cancer nurse counsellor at ARC Cancer Support House in Cork, Fiona told me how much help Pat had been to her when she first took on the role as the Avon nurse counsellor in Cork.
Pat will be a sad loss all of us who have known and worked with her and our heartfelt sympathies go to her husband Eamonn, her children, grandchildren, relatives and friends. The funeral will take place today (Tuesday) in St. Joseph’s Church, Glasthule arriving for 11.30 o’clock Mass followed by cremation in Mt. Jerome. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired, to ARC Cancer Support or The Blackrock Hospice.
