Weekly Round Up
Time for this week’s round-up of the best of the blogs which I’ve read over the past week. These are the posts that have moved me, taught me something, inspired me, and which I’ve wanted to share with you. Just click on the highlighted links to read the posts. Don’t forget if you have written a post which you would like readers to see, just leave a comment below.
Starting off this week’s round up with two blogs written by young breast cancer survivors, new to our community of bloggers – Hidden Dragons and Keep the Calm.
Terri has been sharing pictures of the utterly adorable little ones in her charge on her South African adventure. She said they have stolen her heart, and looking at their little faces, I sure can see why. She has also been writing about the new perspective she is gaining every day of her time spent in SA.
Lauren has written another beautiful post – this time on motherhood and gratitude and on the topic of motherhood and mother’s day, Nancy and Bringing Up Goliath have both spoken to so many of us for whom this day is a painful reminder of loss.
Sarah has written a poignant post on “what we had before”, describing the dividing line which defines our lives prior to diagnosis as ‘before.
Brenda’s opening up of a discussion on death and dying really captured my attention this past week, and judging by the number of comments, it spoke to many of you too.
A powerful post from The Cancer Cultute Chronicles, prompted by her recent attendance at the National Breast Cancer Coalition’s conference – a must read for anyone who takes advocacy seriously.
Finally, and with shameless nepotism here, I direct you to Inside the Brain (my spouse’s blog) for a three part series this week on the art of happiness – it’s a good read, helped in no small part by my influence 😉
Have a wonderful weekend everyone..and keep on blogging.

Thank you Marie,
There’s never a dull moment for me now with so many wonderful blogs. I find myself saying no more to things I really don’t want to do, and saying yes to a weekly round up of posts! Sighle

Thanks for the mention. I love your roundup because they always give me the opportunity to read new bloggers or ones I may have overlooked that week. Thanks also for directing me to your husband’s website. No pun intended, but what a brain!” I think you make a great couple:)
XOXOXO,
Brenda

Brenda, You’re right, I think there are people who stay away from the death talk and people who might be dying because they “don’t want to get any of it on them.” 🙂 But the way you tell the story of your ex, his last days, the details of his eyes fluttering and hand stirring did all the opposite of repel me. It was beautiful. He was lucky you were there for him.
